We will be staying Ti_se, hotel in Kathmandu, In Tibet start Trek to Cho Oyu base camp we accommodate in very good hotel. Camping service will be during the trek and climbing. In the tent accommodations, we provide good foam mattress. All accommodations during the climbing and tent are on a twin-shared basis and also toilet as well also shower. You could also request for a single tent in by paying a single supplement.
Trekker Nepal will provide all the camping equipment and gear, such a member tent dining tent kitchen tents. At base camp, we will have a large mess tent with all necessary kitchen equipment including stoves, tables, and chairs. Food is prepared by Trekker Nepal experienced expedition cooks. We will be served hygienic and all varieties of food including local Nepali food, Tibetan, and continental. Breakfast different verities. In the lunch some time we serve Nepali dalbath include rice, lentils, beans, green vegetables, chapattis, bread, and tinned meat and fish items. As a dessert, we serve fresh or tinned fruit and tea or coffees hot water. During the climbing mountain, we mostly use dry or dehydrated foods, including chocolate, cheese, nuts, and muesli items.
The best season to climb Cho Oyu Spring March to May and the autumn season of from September to November are considered the best time for Cho Oyu expedition. The months of April and May and then again October and November are the classic climbing period. The summer months of monsoon rains and the winter months from December to February are considered to be the most unfavorable time climbing.
I feel lucky that my first trek in Nepal was with Wangda. His route to Pikey Peak was unique– it was a privilege to stay in his family home and with his other family members throughout the trek. We learnt about Sherpa life and culture first-hand and enjoyed many freshly prepared meals, which were extra satisfying after a day of trekking. Wangda and his four porters went out of their way to make sure we were well-fed, safe and comfortable. The
trek was fantastic – especially the walk along the ridge with great mountain views to the Pikey base camp (where we had a brilliantly memorable evening dancing around to traditional Sherpa songs and drinking the local rakshi) and from the peak down through forests to the picturesque town of Junbesi, which is full of orchards. The peak was incredible we had a panoramic 360-degree view that encompassed Annapurna and the Everest range at sunrise – and it was all to ourselves too. Wangda is also great fun with a sense of humour- he kept us entertained throughout.
I hope to go back to Nepal one day and now I’ve been on a trek with Wangda, I wouldn’t want to go with any other guide.

I have recently returned from a trek to Pikey Peak with Wangda Sherpa as our guide. It was my second visit to Nepal.
The previous time was to the Annapurna region with Wangda’s father Lakpa as our guide. This time we were looking for a trek in a less commercialised region, with a chance to discover more about Sherpa culture and traditions,
which is exactly what we got. Staying in Sherpa houses and finding out about their way of life, gave us a unique insight into the lives of these proud and resourceful people. Wangda was a superb guide. The trek to Pikey Peak took us through some beautiful mountain countryside with amazing views including the whole of the Everest range. Wangda ensured our comfort and safety at all times, whilst he was only too happy to answer all our questions about the country and people. Thanks to him the whole trip was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish.

“For me, the walk with Wangda to Peekey Peak was the trip of a lifetime. I’d never travelled anywhere challenging before and was both excited and apprehensive about it, as I have dietary needs and a chronic health condition. I needn’t have worried as Wangda and his team took great care and always ensured that we were well fed and hydrated – wherever we went there were always plenty of hot drinks and extra portions, if we wanted them. This isn’t a trip for the faint hearted – some of the accommodation is pretty basic – but it gives you a unique insight into the lives of the Sherpa people. They are tough, kind and good humoured. We had a fabulous time trekking around Wangda’s homeland. The whole trip was a great adventure from the jeep ride out of Kathmandu, the hospitality and friendship of the Sherpa people, the fantastic scenery and of course sunrise over Everest.
Every day was different, the food always freshly cooked, tasty and well portioned. We stayed in Sherpa homesteads and spent many an evening enjoying their hospitality, eating, drinking and dancing.Wangda and his team were brilliant, a great sense of humour, very knowledgeable and an admirable command of English from their leader. Also quite sensitive to our western needs so they took some cereals, coffee, and snickers for us -a nice touch!
A real adventure to be treasured forever!
In September 2017, my wife and I went an unforgettably amazing trek in the Mustang region with Lakpa. In addition to being a very experienced and trained guide, Lakpa is also a Buddhist monk and was able to show us the cultural depth of this traditional region better than we could have ever imagined.Upon our return to Kathmandu, Wangda took great care of us, taking us to must-see places such as the Patan Museum and Patan palace. Wangda made our visit fascinating by describing the various religious rites and cultures, putting it all into context for us.In addition to their guide activities both Lakpa and Wangda are very involved in development projects in and around their village in Eastern Nepal, including projects to rebuild damaged schools, finding funding for much-needed school resources (book bags, solar lights for doing homework, etc.). Last April I went on a beautiful trekking to Annapurna Basecamp with Wangda. Wangda is a very good guide and the trekking became a special trip because of all the interesting conversations we had and everything he told me about Nepal, India, and Buddhism among other things. Already during my trip I was fantasizing about the next trekking I want to do with Wangda and now that I’m back in Holland… I have to decide when to go; this year or next year?
